Option 2 is to take a ride on the high speed tracks to Colognei until Siegburg/Bonn station, then changing into the tram/subway network to get to Bonn downtown.
This ride often allows passengers to watch their train easily surge by all cars on the parallel running Autobahn.
With the right connections this ride takes around 1h10 total, around 45 minutes to Siegburg, then another 25 minutes from Siegburg/Bonn to Bonn downtown.
